Meet The Team

DAVID MARTIN, MANAGING DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER

David carved out his career as a Joiner, Machinist and Veneer Specialist, working at some of Kent’s most prestigious companies, including Frank & Whittome Ltd, where he completed his apprenticeship at the age of 17.

Joinery was a passion of his since his youth, and he always had an expert eye for quality in production and finishes, whether timber, metalwork or other materials.

Following successful roles at Willowbridge Joinery, Dovetail Joinery and Manorbourne Joinery, David established his very own business, Hartwood Joinery, in March 2010. From a small unit and office in Grove Business Park in Ashford, Hartwood was soon taking over an additional five units, before embarking on a huge relocation project and £1.5million investment into the now-established 25,000 sq ft offices and factory on Brunswick Road.

Those who know or meet David, always speak of his passion for the craft, his keen eye for detail and how perfectionism runs through his veins. Hartwood Joinery is everything he stands for and everything he loves about the industry – highly-skilled staff, quality craftsmanship and sincere pride in every task.

Our highly-skilled craftsmen and senior management team are experts in their field. The combined skillsets, idea generation and contacts make our team one of the finest in the industry and one I’m extremely proud of.
